The Gun Smith Guy 25 target club skeet championship was the first event with Ken Atkin winning overall and the AA grade 28/29 from second place getter Dougal Simson 23/25. Greg Kessegian 21/25 took out A grade from Brian Spring 19/25, Trevor Decaux 22/25 won B grade from Guy Yoannidis 22/25 and Kevin Dawe was in top form 24/25 which won him the C grade title from Heather Ryan 22/25. The Barry Maney Ford 25 pair double rise championship was the next event, with shooters using their fine markmanship and quick reflexes to shoot the two targets thrown together. Neil Berry 41/50 won AA grade from Malcolm Whitehead 40/50, Andrew Jenkins 39/50 won A grade from Peter Winser 38/50, Tom Jenkins took B grade 40/50 from Andrew Ryan 34/50 and Charles Wallis 33/50 won C grade from Geoff Illman 38/60. Young’s The Man’s Shop 25 target continental championship was shot with expertise with shooters attaining perfect scores, which resulted in shoot offs. Gavin Height 47/47 edged out Dougal Simson 46/47 to win AA, while Warren Lindner 32/32 won A grade from Andrew Jenkins 31/32. Frank Kentish showed off his marksmanship with a perfect 25/25 to win B grade from Peter Caskey 24/25, while Geoff Illman 23/25 won C grade from Andrew Green 29/32. The South East Autotrade high- gun over the three events was won by Malcom Whitehead 86/100. South East shooters donate State winnings to worthwhile cause A SOUTH East team has returned to the Limestone Coast victorious after the recent State Clay Target Championships held in Adelaide. The side of Gavin Height, Willis Jenkins, Peter Winser, Robert Clark and Andrew Jenkins donated the winning proceeds to the Limestone Coast Prostate Cancer Support Group in Mount Gambier.
