32 SPORT Connect with Suzuki Latest technology, outstanding value FROM $23,990 0 FUN will just be the start at the Discover Sailing Day taking place at Port MacDonnell Sailing Club on Sunday. The club will be opening its doors to aspiring sailors from 1pm for a great day out with a partner, friends or family, encouraging the community to come and fi nd out just how fun, safe, accessible and affordable sailing is. Participants will have the opportunity to go for a short sail with an experienced sailor, as well as view and enjoy the club’s facilities. The Discover Sailing Day is open to everyone from young to old, from the experienced to the new sailor. Port MacDonnell Sailing Club commodore Robin White said the club has extended an invitation to anyone who ever wanted to learn how to sail to come and have fun at the Discover Sailing Day. “The day is there to offer a free opportunity for people to give sailing a go, and experience the great social atmosphere at a club,” White said. “We will provide the boats and safety equipment – all you have to do is bring a spare set of clothes, a sun hat, some sun screen and bucket loads of enthusiasm.” The club recommends that interested persons make contact in advance to secure their spot for the day. The Discover Sailing Day is an initiative of Yachting Australia and held throughout Australia on this day.
