Situated on Riddoch Highway opposite the airport, the South East Animal Welfare League aims to promote and improve the welfare of animals generally, to give temporary shelter and food to lost and abandoned cats and dogs and to endeavour by sale or other approved means to find good homes for dogs and cats. Not only is this an opportunity to socialise with like minded pet lovers, but also a chance to help the league continue their valuable work. Inspired by the approaching Melbourne Cup, there’ll be a “fashions on the field” so you can dress up your pet for the chance to win a great prize. The walk will commence on the old archery field with a BBQ, soft serve ice creams, dog portraits, and coffee available to purchase.
