Hardcore sound makes live music scene inroads MAKING their inaugural visit to Mount Gambier in the winter of 2011, Perth hardcore outfi t Saviour made an instant impact with their engaging and passionate music. Fast forward to now and the band is arguably Australia’s most talked about up-andcoming outfi t and will make their third visit to Mount Gambier as part of tomorrow night’s all ages event at the city band hall. It has been a busy few months for Saviour, fi rst taking part in the massive East Coast Rampage Tour alongside Australian metal legends I Killed The Prom Queen and then touring nationally again through Loudfest in August. Again hitting the road in September, Saviour joined one of Australia’s fastest growing exports Northlane throughout regional and metropolitan locations. In the midst of the travel, Saviour has managed to release a music video trilogy for Jaded, Morning and Stories, three tracks which feature on the band’s recently released album First Light To My Death Bed, which debuted at number 38 on the ARIA charts - an impressive feat for a melodic hardcore band from out west. Saviour will not take to the road alone, inviting two bands to join them around the nation, the fi rst of which is another South East favourite in For All Eternity. Fresh off the back of recording their sophomore album in America with the renowned Brian Hood (My Children My Bride, Erra, Being As An Ocean), the Sydney band is ready to hit Australia with its brand of melodic heaviness. Fellow Perth band Anchored has been gifted a massive opportunity, joining the tour on what will be their fi rst serious venture out east. The young band will bring some fresh tunes to the mix whilst boasting an energetic and powerful live show. Splitting up the two touring supports on the bill will be Mount Gambier’s own Sierra, which is currently preparing for a journey of its own, touring the country with North Carolina’s Hundredth and Sydney’s Vices in just over a fortnight. Having recently released their debut video for the new single Gaia, Pridelands will be sure to impress with their energetic brand of hardcore. Rounding out the bill will be two Melbourne-based acts in Void Of Vision and Daydreamer. Both bands have been making waves within their local scene and will now expand across the border. Doors for the strictly drug and alcohol free event will open at 5pm, with tickets available for $15. HEADING OUT EAST: Perth hardcore outfi t Saviour will headline tomorrow night’s all ages show at the Mount Gambier City Band Hall. 617916
