Among the special guests were former Glencoe resident and Tourism Minister Leon Bignell, Member for Barker Tony Pasin and National Trust South Australia CEO Eric Heapy. Mount Gambier National Trust and Glencoe Progress Association members donned 19th century dress as they greeted visitors. During the ceremony, Mr Bignell affectionately recalled his childhood spent in Glencoe, while paying homage to the pioneers of the township Robert and Edward Leake. “Thanks must be given not only to the Leake brothers, but also to all the volunteers who have assisted with the preservation of the woolshed,” he said.
