Many of the visiting golfers came from as far as Hamilton, Balmoral and Dartmoor. A field of 31 contested Friday’s 9 hole stroke competition with Terry Smith victorious on a countback from Simon Cram. REPEAT PERFORMANCE: It is the second time Craig Perryman has claimed the Port MacDonnell 125th Anniversary Perpetual Trophy awarded for the best overall score of the day. For the women Sue Smith took the honours, again on a countback from Annette Perryman. Saturday saw a field of 18 contest the 18 hole stableford format with Craig Perryman taking the win by a point over Matthew Fox. Sue Smith again took the honours for the women ahead of Annette Perryman by two points. The Port MacDonnell 125th Anniversary Perpetual Trophy for the best overall score of the day went to Craig Perryman with 42 points. Sunday saw a men’s only stroke competition with 34 golfers participating. In the A grade over 27 holes Andrew Stark was scratch winner with 115 gross while runner-up was Bill Burley with 116. Handicap honours went to Trevor McLean for his 100 nett while runner-up was Ross Murray with 104. In the B grade the scratch winner was Adrian Wallace with 129 gross while runner-up was Roger Gale with 130. Handicap honours went to Chris Bowd with 104 nett wile runner up was Andrew Wallis with 107. In the C grade Gary Boyle took out the scratch competition with 94 gross, runner-up was Will Macdonald with 98, Xavier Taylor was handicap winner with 72 nett on a countback from Aaron Taylor. The veterans division saw Terry Smith take the honours with 74 nett with runner-up Bryon Coe on 77 while the Murray Humphries Memorial Trophy for the best nett score went to Gary Boyle for his 67.
