28 bowls Ten grand finals in five days MORRIS ROD email@example.com GRAND final time has arrived for the Lower South East Bowls Association with no less than 10 premiership playoffs scheduled over the course of the next five days. Three divisions of women’s finals will be played tomorrow at the Mount Gambier RSL Bowling Club, headlined by the Division 1 clash between Mount Gambier and Port MacDonnell. Port MacDonnell will also be represented in Division 2 when it meets Millicent Red and the Division 3 playoff will see Mount Gambier RSL enjoy a home rink advantage against Naracoorte. Men will take centre stage at Naracoorte on Saturday and for the Mount Gambier RSL Red team it provides the opportunity to score an unprecedented sixth Division 1 premiership in succession. RSL Red has been the team to beat, not just this year, but for the last six seasons and they will go into the grand final against arch-rivals, Mount Gambier Red as a big favourite. Divisions 2-5 will also be played at Naracoorte on Saturday, as will the newly established Saturday women’s roster when Mount Gambier v Millicent. In Division 2, Millicent will do battle with Mount Gambier RSL, followed by Frances and Lucindale in Division 3; Mount Gambier RSL v Beachport in Division 4 and Mount Gambier and Robe in Division 5. And grand final week will stretch out to next Wednesday when the open gender premiership will engage Port MacDonnell against Millicent Red on the Mount Gambier greens.
